As well as designing and building rugged and reliable portable sawmills, Rimu Engineering custom build Sea Surge pontoon boats.

Designed to withstand the constant wave pounding experienced by commercial users, the Sea Surge’s D-shaped pontoons taper towards the front to cut smoothly through big waves and choppy water. Ideal for Paua divers and fishermen, each custom-built boat has a deep 20-degree V with chines to deflect water, making it very dry riding.

Each boat is designed to the customer’s requirements, welded by marine-certified welders and test driven. Ranging in size from 3 to 8 metres, Sea Surge boats can feature a sports or hard top canopy, sports cab or cabin.
