Portable Sawmills
The Contractor Deluxe Portable Sawmill is designed for the professional sawmiller. The lightweight High Track Mill is the entry level option for cost-effective farm or part-time milling.

Our Mills are built to be strong and durable and require very little maintenance. Over the past 20 years of manufacturing we have taken every step to eliminate all possible breakdowns.

We export to New Caledonia, Mongolia, Samoa, Fiji, Australia, South Africa, England, Ireland, Papua New Guinea, Indonesia, The Solomon Islands and The Chatham Islands to name a few. Our mills are exactly suited for cutting native hardwoods in remote locations.

Safety and performance
OSH approved and CE certified for safety for export to the demanding EU market, our mills are designed so the safety guard closes behind the cut log, returning the cut board to the back of the mill. As well as providing optimum safety, this design feature allows the operator to stack the timber while the mill is still cutting, ideal for those milling timber on their own.

All Rimu sawmills are constructed in stainless steel and high tensile aluminium for lightweight strength and rust free long life.

Portable
Our mill’s strong, rigid and durable tracks are light enough for one person to lift. Self-loading and unloads onto a standard trailer or truck deck. Tow it behind a 4WD, tractor, quad bike or wheel it by hand to remote locations, or set it up in your mill yard for regular onsite use.

Automatic cutting
The hydraulic attachment propels the saw head and returns the cut timber - allowing the operator to stack the timber while the mill is still cutting, ideal for one-person operations. The attachment has a separate power source and variable speed control which can be set or adjusted while you are cutting.

Accurate, Professional Results
The quartersaw arrangement (horizontal and vertical blades in combination), combined with a powerful diesel or petrol motor, delivers accurate, guaranteed square boards, cut quickly, safely and professionally even in remote areas. An accuracy within a 1mm range.

Maximise Timber Recovery
The Rimu mill is designed to cut right down to the bark, maximising your timber recovery. Because both cuts are made in one pass, the cut board slides out as the head returns. With a maximum vertical cut of 300mm (11.8 inches) x 150mm (5.9 inches) horizontal, the Rimu mill delivers the biggest cut in its price range.
